Egg, once possibly the largest pure-play Internet bank, has come and gone and in doing seems to have left relatively few marks on the history books.<\/p>\n

To set that straight in some small part, this site is a memoir celebrating a particular event in the the frantic, dynamic life of Egg: the Agile Transformation, and is dedicated those who were there but are no longer with us today.<\/p>\n

The Agile Manfesto was declared and signed in 2001, and barely as the ink was dry [in financial services time, at least],<\/em> Egg kicked off its Agile Transformation in 2003 and so was the first full spectrum transformation to agile working in Financial Services [my assertion]<\/em>, pipping early showings from Capital One (2004<\/a> which gave up on it until 2011<\/a>), BNP Paribas (2004<\/a>) and Standard Life (2008<\/a>).  It is thus worthy of marking as a key developmental milestone in the use of IT in Banking and Financial Services as a whole.<\/p>\n
